Soothly the Lord saw that Moses went to see, and he called (to) him from the midst of the bush, and said, Moses! Moses! Which answered, I am present (Who answered, I am here).

And the Lord said, Nigh thou not hither, but (first) unbind thou the shoes of thy feet, for the place in which thou standest is holy land (for the place where thou standest is holy ground).

And the Lord said, I am (the) God of thy father(s), (the) God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob. Moses hid his face, for he durst not look against God (for he dared not look at God).

When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called(A) to him from within the bush,(B) “Moses! Moses!”

And Moses said, “Here I am.”(C)

“Do not come any closer,”(D) God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”(E) Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”(F) At this, Moses hid(G) his face, because he was afraid to look at God.(H)
