36 ¶ Also thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave thereon, as signets are graven, [a]HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

37 And thou shalt put it on a blue silk lace, and it shall be upon the mitre, even upon the forefront of the mitre shall it be.

38 So shall it be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may [b]bear the iniquity of the offerings, which the children of Israel shall offer in all their holy offerings: and it shall be always upon his forehead, to make them acceptable before the Lord.

36 “Make a plate(A) of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: holy to the Lord.(B) 37 Fasten a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban. 38 It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt(C) involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable(D) to the Lord.
