21 You shall put the mercy seat above upon the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you. 22 I will meet with you there, and I will meet with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony. I will speak with you all that I will command you for the children of Israel.

23 You shall also make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide, and a half cubit high.[a]

21 Place the cover on top of the ark(A) and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law(B) that I will give you. 22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim(C) that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet(D) with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.(E)
