Exodus 2:10-12
Good News Translation
10 (A)Later, when the child was old enough, she took him to the king's daughter, who adopted him as her own son. She said to herself, “I pulled him out of the water, and so I name him Moses.”[a]
Moses Escapes to Midian
11 (B)When Moses had grown up, he went out to visit his people, the Hebrews, and he saw how they were forced to do hard labor. He even saw an Egyptian kill a Hebrew, one of Moses' own people. 12 Moses looked all around, and when he saw that no one was watching, he killed the Egyptian and hid his body in the sand.

Exodus 2:10-12
New International Version
10 When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. She named(A) him Moses,[a] saying, “I drew(B) him out of the water.”
Moses Flees to Midian
11 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people(C) were and watched them at their hard labor.(D) He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. 12 Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
