³⁴ As the Lord commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna with the tablets of the covenant law,^(A) so that it might be preserved.

¹⁸ When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai,^(A) he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone^(B) inscribed by the finger of God.^(C)

² I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. Then you are to put them in the ark.”^(A)

²⁶ “Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.^(A)

⁹ There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets^(A) that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt.
