8 (A)You shall tell your son on that day, saying, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ 9 And (B)it shall [a]serve as a sign to you on your hand, and as a reminder [b]on your forehead, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth; for with (C)a powerful hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt. 10 Therefore, you shall (D)keep this ordinance at its appointed time from [c]year to year.

8 On that day tell your son,(A) ‘I do this because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ 9 This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand(B) and a reminder on your forehead(C) that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.(D) 10 You must keep this ordinance(E) at the appointed time(F) year after year.
