12 (A)Then shalt thou set apart unto the Lord all that first openeth the womb: also everything that first doth open the womb, and cometh forth of thy beast: the males shall be the Lord’s.
13 But every [a]first foal of an [b]ass, thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck: likewise also the firstborn of man among thy sons shalt thou [c]buy out.
14 ¶ And when thy son shall ask thee [d]tomorrow, saying, What is this? thou shalt then say unto him, With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

12 you are to give over to the Lord the first offspring of every womb. All the firstborn males of your livestock belong to the Lord.(A) 13 Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey,(B) but if you do not redeem it, break its neck.(C) Redeem(D) every firstborn among your sons.(E)
14 “In days to come, when your son(F) asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.(G)
