5 All those [a]who were descendants of Jacob were (A)seventy[b] persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already). 6 And (B)Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation. 7 (C)But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and [c]grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.

5 The descendants of Jacob numbered seventy[a] in all;(A) Joseph was already in Egypt.
6 Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died,(B) 7 but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers(C) and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.
