Esther 8:6-8
Easy-to-Read Version
6 I am begging the king because I could not bear to see these terrible things happen to my people. I could not bear to see my family killed.”
7 King Xerxes answered Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew, “Because Haman was against the Jews, I have given his property to Esther. And my soldiers have hanged him on the hanging post. 8 Now write another command by the authority of the king. Write it to help the Jews in a way that seems best to you. Then seal the order with the king’s special ring. No official letter written by the authority of the king and sealed with the king’s ring can be canceled.”

6 For how can I bear to see disaster fall on my people? How can I bear to see the destruction of my family?”(A)
7 King Xerxes replied to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, “Because Haman attacked the Jews, I have given his estate to Esther, and they have impaled(B) him on the pole he set up. 8 Now write another decree(C) in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal(D) it with the king’s signet ring(E)—for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.”(F)
