10 On the seventh day, when the king was feeling good from the wine,(A) Ahasuerus commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona,(B) Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carkas—the seven eunuchs(C) who personally served him— 11 to bring Queen Vashti before him with her royal crown. He wanted to show off her beauty to the people and the officials, because she was very beautiful.(D)

10 On the seventh day, when King Xerxes was in high spirits(A) from wine,(B) he commanded the seven eunuchs who served him—Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona,(C) Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar and Karkas— 11 to bring(D) before him Queen Vashti, wearing her royal crown, in order to display her beauty(E) to the people and nobles, for she was lovely to look at.

4 Then the young woman who pleases the king(A) will become queen instead of Vashti.”(B) This suggestion pleased the king, and he did accordingly.
