7 He did this through Christ Jesus out of his generosity to us in order to show his extremely rich kindness in the world to come. 8 God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God. 9 It’s not the result of anything you’ve done, so no one can brag about it.

7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace,(A) expressed in his kindness(B) to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace(C) you have been saved,(D) through faith(E)—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works,(F) so that no one can boast.(G)
