¹³ When you heard the message of truth,^(A) the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.^(B)

²² You took off^[a](A) your former way of life,^(B) the old self^[b](C) that is corrupted by deceitful desires;

⁸ But now you must also put away^(A) all the following: anger,^(B) wrath,^(C) malice,^(D) slander,^(E) and filthy language from your mouth.^(F)
