25 Na kino kye kiriba eky’okuddamu nti, “Kubanga abantu bano basudde eri endagaano ya Mukama Katonda wa bajjajjaabwe, endagaano gye yakola nabo bwe yabaggya mu nsi y’e Misiri. 26 Baagenda ne basinza bakatonda abalala, ne babaweereza, bakatonda be baali batamanyi, era Katonda waabwe be yali tabawadde. 27 (A)Bwe butyo obusungu bwa Mukama ne bubuubuukira ku nsi eyo, n’agireetako ebikolimo byonna ebiwandiikiddwa mu Kitabo kino.

New International Version
25 And the answer will be: “It is because this people abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, the covenant he made with them when he brought them out of Egypt.(A) 26 They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, gods he had not given them. 27 Therefore the Lord’s anger burned against this land, so that he brought on it all the curses written in this book.(B)
