9 Do not be quickly provoked(A) in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.(B)
9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,(A) it is not easily angered,(B) it keeps no record of wrongs.(C)
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]:(A) Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
19 My dear brothers and sisters,(A) take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak(B) and slow to become angry,
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 because human anger(A) does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
