17 What is more, he eats in darkness all his days,(A) with much sorrow, sickness, and anger.

18 Here is what I have seen to be good:(B) it is appropriate to eat, drink, and experience good in all the labor one does under the sun during the few days of his life God has given him, because that is his reward.(C) 19 God has also given riches and wealth to every man,(D) and He has allowed him to enjoy them, take his reward, and rejoice in his labor.(E) This is a gift of God,(F)

    with great frustration, affliction and anger.

18 This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink(A) and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor(B) under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions,(C) and the ability to enjoy them,(D) to accept their lot(E) and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.(F)
