Ecclesiastes 2:23-25
Contemporary English Version
23 (A) Our bodies ache during the day, and work is torture. Then at night our thoughts are troubled. It just doesn't make sense.
24 (B) The best thing we can do is to enjoy eating, drinking, and working.[a] I believe these are God's gifts to us, 25 and no one enjoys eating and living more than I do.

Ecclesiastes 2:23-25
New International Version
23 All their days their work is grief and pain;(A) even at night their minds do not rest.(B) This too is meaningless.
24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink(C) and find satisfaction in their own toil.(D) This too, I see, is from the hand of God,(E) 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?(F)
