Ecclesiastes 12:6-8

6 before the silver cord is snapped,[a] and the golden bowl is broken, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel broken at the cistern, 7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the breath[b] returns to God who gave it. 8 Vanity of vanities, says the Teacher;[c] all is vanity.

6 Remember your Creator before the silver cord is [a]loosed,
Or the golden bowl is broken,
Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain,
Or the wheel broken at the well.
7 (A)Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,
(B)And the spirit will return to God (C)who gave it.
8 “Vanity(D) of vanities,” says the Preacher,
“All is vanity.”
