Ecclesiastes 1:11-13

11 No one remembers the people of long ago;
and those to come will not be remembered
by those who come after them.
12 I, Kohelet, have been king over Isra’el in Yerushalayim. 13 I wisely applied myself to seek out and investigate everything done under heaven. What a bothersome task God has given humanity to keep us occupied!

Wisdom Is Meaningless
12 I, the Teacher,(C) was king over Israel in Jerusalem.(D) 13 I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens.(E) What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind!(F)
