²⁵ The images of their gods you are to burn^(A) in the fire. Do not covet^(B) the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared^(C) by it, for it is detestable^(D) to the Lord your God. ²⁶ Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction.^(E) Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.

¹⁷ At the end of seventy years,^(A) the Lord will deal with Tyre. She will return to her lucrative prostitution^(B) and will ply her trade with all the kingdoms on the face of the earth.^{(C) 18} Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for the Lord;^(D) they will not be stored up or hoarded. Her profits will go to those who live before the Lord,^(E) for abundant food and fine clothes.^(F)
