³⁵ You were shown these things so that you might know that the Lord is God; besides him there is no other.^(A)

³⁶ At the time^(A) of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham,^(B) Isaac and Israel, let it be known^(C) today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.^(D)

³⁹ When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate^(A) and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!”^(B)

¹⁶ “Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, enthroned^(A) between the cherubim,^(B) you alone are God^(C) over all the kingdoms^(D) of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.^(E)

²⁰ Now, Lord our God, deliver^(A) us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth^(B) may know that you, Lord, are the only God.^[a](C)”

²³ I will show the holiness of my great name,^(A) which has been profaned^(B) among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord,^(C) declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy^(D) through you before their eyes.^(E)
