²⁷ Had I not feared the wrath of the enemy,
Lest their adversaries should misunderstand,
Lest they should say, ^(A)“Our hand is high;
And it is not the Lord who has done all this.” ’

¹⁶ Because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles,
^(A)Because of the enemy and the avenger.

^51 (A)With which Your enemies have reproached, O Lord,
With which they have reproached the footsteps of Your ^[a]anointed.

⁴² So shall I have an answer for him who ^[a]reproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.
