²⁷ For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you are rebelling against the Lord now, while I am still alive, how much more will you rebel after I am dead!

¹⁴ But they would not listen. Instead they became obstinate like^[a] their ancestors who did not believe the Lord their God.^(A)

⁷ Don’t be like your fathers and your brothers who were unfaithful to Yahweh, the God of their ancestors^(A) so that He made them an object of horror^(B) as you yourselves see.
