⁸ See, I have set the land before you. Enter and take possession of the land the Lord swore to give to your fathers^(A) Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their future descendants.’^(B)

¹⁸ Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that you may prosper and so that you may enter and possess the good land^(A) the Lord your God swore to give your fathers,^(B)

¹¹ Then the Lord said to me, ‘Get up. Continue your journey ahead of the people, so that they may enter and possess the land I swore to give their fathers.’^(A)

²¹ so that as long as the heavens are above the earth, your days and those of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your fathers.^(A)

²⁰ love the Lord your God, obey Him, and remain faithful^[a] to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land the Lord swore to give to your fathers^(A) Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

⁷ Moses then summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with^[a] this people into the land the Lord swore to give to their fathers.^(A) You will enable them to take possession of it.

²⁰ When I bring them into the land I swore to give their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey,^(A) they will eat their fill^(B) and prosper.^[a] They will turn to other gods and worship them, despising Me and breaking My covenant.^(C)

⁴² When I lead you into the land of Israel, the land I swore^[a] to give your fathers, you will know that I am Yahweh.^(A)
