9 When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which the Lord made with you, then I remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I did not eat bread or drink water. 10 The Lord delivered to me two tablets of stone, written with the finger of God, and on them was written all the words which the Lord spoke to you at the mountain out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly.
11 At the end of forty days and forty nights, the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.

9 When I went up on the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant(A) that the Lord had made with you, I stayed on the mountain forty days(B) and forty nights; I ate no bread and drank no water.(C) 10 The Lord gave me two stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God.(D) On them were all the commandments the Lord proclaimed to you on the mountain out of the fire, on the day of the assembly.(E)
11 At the end of the forty days and forty nights,(F) the Lord gave me the two stone tablets,(G) the tablets of the covenant.
