23 Likewise when the Lord sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, Go up, and possess the land which I have given you, then ye [a]rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and believed him not, nor hearkened unto his voice.
24 Ye have been rebellious unto the Lord, since the day that I knew you.
25 Then I fell down before the Lord [b]forty days, and forty nights, as I fell down before, because the Lord had said that he would destroy you.

New International Version
23 And when the Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea,(A) he said, “Go up and take possession(B) of the land I have given you.” But you rebelled(C) against the command of the Lord your God. You did not trust(D) him or obey him. 24 You have been rebellious against the Lord ever since I have known you.(E)
25 I lay prostrate before the Lord those forty days and forty nights(F) because the Lord had said he would destroy you.(G)
