Deuteronomy 5:5-7

International Standard Version

⁵I stood at that time as mediator^[a] between the Lord and you to declare his^[b] message to you, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain. He said:

א^[c]	⁶“‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt—from the house of slavery. ⁷You are to have no other gods as a substitute for me.^[d]
