3 (A)Yahweh did not cut this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of [a]us alive here today. 4 Yahweh spoke to you (B)face to face at the mountain (C)from the midst of the fire. 5 (D)I was standing between Yahweh and you at that time, to declare to you the word of Yahweh; (E)for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain.
