38 driving out from your presence nations greater and stronger than you are, to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance, as it is this day. 39 Therefore know this today and again take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other. 40 Keep his statutes and his commandments that I am commanding you today, so that it may go well for you and for your children after you, and so that you may live long on the land[a] that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.[b]

38 to drive out before you nations greater and stronger than you and to bring you into their land to give it to you for your inheritance,(A) as it is today.
39 Acknowledge(B) and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.(C) 40 Keep(D) his decrees and commands,(E) which I am giving you today, so that it may go well(F) with you and your children after you and that you may live long(G) in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
