32 “For (A)ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of. 33 (B)Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? 34 Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, (C)by signs, by wonders, and (D)by war, (E)by a mighty hand and (F)an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35 To you it was shown, (G)that you might know that the Lord is God; (H)there is no other besides him.

The Lord Is God

32 Ask(A) now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God created human beings on the earth;(B) ask from one end of the heavens to the other.(C) Has anything so great(D) as this ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of? 33 Has any other people heard the voice of God[a] speaking out of fire, as you have, and lived?(E) 34 Has any god ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation,(F) by testings,(G) by signs(H) and wonders,(I) by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm,(J) or by great and awesome deeds,(K) like all the things the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?

35 You were shown these things so that you might know that the Lord is God; besides him there is no other.(L)

13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
    until the nation took vengeance on their enemies.

Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.

12 On the day the Lord gave the Amorites(A) over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel:

“Sun, stand still over Gibeon,
    and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.(B)
13 So the sun stood still,(C)
    and the moon stopped,
    till the nation avenged itself on[a] its enemies,

as it is written in the Book of Jashar.(D)

The sun stopped(E) in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.
