Deuteronomy 4:30-32
International Children’s Bible
30 It will be hard when all these things happen to you. But after that you will come back to the Lord your God. You will obey him. 31 The Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you. He will not forget the agreement he made with your ancestors. He made that agreement sure with his strong promise.
The Lord Is Great
32 Nothing like this has ever happened before! Look at the past, long before you were even born. Go all the way back to when God made man on the earth. Look from one end of heaven to the other. Nothing like this has ever been heard of!

New International Version
30 When you are in distress(A) and all these things have happened to you, then in later days(B) you will return(C) to the Lord your God and obey him. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful(D) God; he will not abandon(E) or destroy(F) you or forget(G) the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
The Lord Is God
32 Ask(H) now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God created human beings on the earth;(I) ask from one end of the heavens to the other.(J) Has anything so great(K) as this ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of?
