Living Bible
8 The people of Israel mourned for him for thirty days on the plains of Moab.
9 Joshua (son of Nun) was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him; so the people of Israel obeyed him and followed the commandments the Lord had given to Moses.
10 There has never been another prophet like Moses, for the Lord talked to him face to face.

New International Version
8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab(A) thirty days,(B) until the time of weeping and mourning(C) was over.
9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[a] of wisdom(D) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(E) So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 Since then, no prophet(F) has risen in Israel like Moses,(G) whom the Lord knew face to face,(H)
