4 The Lord said to Moses, “This is the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I said to them, ‘I will give this land to your descendants. I have let you see the land, but you cannot go there.’”
5 Then Moses, the Lord’s servant, died there in the land of Moab. The Lord had told Moses this would happen. 6 He buried Moses in Moab. This was in the valley across from Beth Peor. But even today, no one knows exactly where Moses’ grave is.

4 Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath(A) to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob(B) when I said, ‘I will give it(C) to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross(D) over into it.”
5 And Moses the servant of the Lord(E) died(F) there in Moab, as the Lord had said. 6 He buried him[a] in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor,(G) but to this day no one knows where his grave is.(H)
