Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land that I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, when I said I will give it to your descendants.[a] I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over to it.”

So Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in the land of Moab as the Lord had said. The Lord buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no one knows his burial place to this day.
