18 The descendants of Reuben and Gad and half the tribe of Manasseh had 44,760 warriors who could serve(A) in the army—men who carried shield and sword, drew the bow, and were trained for war. 19 They waged war against the Hagrites,(B) Jetur,(C) Naphish, and Nodab. 20 They received help against these enemies because they cried out to God in battle, and the Hagrites and all their allies were handed over to them.(D) He was receptive to their prayer because they trusted in him.(E) 21 They captured the Hagrites’ livestock—fifty thousand of their camels, two hundred fifty thousand sheep, and two thousand donkeys—as well as one hundred thousand people. 22 Many of the Hagrites were killed because it was God’s battle.(F) And they lived there in the Hagrites’ place(G) until the exile.(H)

New International Version
18 The Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh had 44,760 men ready for military service(A)—able-bodied men who could handle shield and sword, who could use a bow, and who were trained for battle. 19 They waged war against the Hagrites, Jetur,(B) Naphish and Nodab. 20 They were helped(C) in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried(D) out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted(E) in him. 21 They seized the livestock of the Hagrites—fifty thousand camels, two hundred fifty thousand sheep and two thousand donkeys. They also took one hundred thousand people captive, 22 and many others fell slain, because the battle(F) was God’s. And they occupied the land until the exile.(G)
1 Chronicles 5:18-22
King James Version
18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19 And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20 And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21 And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22 For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
