When the highest parted folks, when he separated the sons of Adam, he ordained the terms of peoples by the number of the sons of Israel. (When the Most High God divided the nations, when he separated the sons of man, he ordained the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.)

Forsooth the part of the Lord is his people; Jacob is the little part of his heritage. (But the Lord’s portion was his own people; Jacob was the portion of his inheritance.)
