^21 (A)They have made me jealous with what is no god;
    they have provoked me to anger ^(B)with their idols.
So ^(C)I will make them jealous with those who are no people;
    I will provoke them to anger with ^(D)a foolish nation.

¹⁹ Behold, the cry of the daughter of my people
    from ^(A)the length and breadth of the land:
“Is the Lord not in Zion?
    ^(B)Is her King not in her?”
^(C)“Why have they provoked me to anger with their carved images
    and with their foreign idols?”

²² Are there any among ^(A)the false gods of the nations ^(B)that can bring rain?
    Or can the heavens give showers?
Are you not he, O Lord our God?
    We set our hope on you,
    ^(C)for you do all these things.
