⁴But to this very day he has not let you understand what you have experienced.

Deuteronomy 29:4

New International Version

⁴But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.^(A)

⁴Yet the Lord hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

¹⁰^(A)The Lord has made you drowsy, ready to fall into a deep sleep. The prophets should be the eyes of the people, but God has blindfolded them.

¹⁰The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep:^(A)
He has sealed your eyes^(B) (the prophets);^(C)
he has covered your heads (the seers).^(D)

¹⁰For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
