²⁴ Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the Lord done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?

79 O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

¹² Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
