²³ (For all that land shall burn with brimstone and salt: it shall not be sown, nor bring forth, nor any grass shall grow therein, like as in the overthrowing of ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in his wrath and in his anger.)

¹⁹ And Babel the glory of kingdoms, the beauty and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God ^(A)in Sodom and Gomorrah.

⁴⁰ As God destroyed ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah with the places thereof near about, saith the Lord: so shall no man dwell there, neither shall the son of man remain therein.

⁴⁹ Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, ^[a]pride, fullness of bread and abundance of idleness was in her, and in her daughters: neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

^8 [a]How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee, as ^[b]Admah? how shall I set thee, as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me: ^[c]my repentings are rouled together.

¹¹ I have overthrown you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah: and ye were as a ^[a]firebrand plucked out of the burning, yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.

²⁹ But in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

⁷ As ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, which in like manner as they did, ^[a]committed fornication, and followed ^[b]strange flesh, are set forth for an example, and suffer the vengeance of eternal fire.
