¹⁹ And it will be when he hears the words of this curse, that he will ^[a]bless himself in his heart, saying, ‘I have peace though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart in order ^[b]to sweep away the watered land with the dry.’

⁸ Yet they ^(A)did not listen or incline their ear, but walked, each one, in the stubbornness of his evil heart; therefore I brought on them all the ^(B)words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.’”

⁸ But they ^(A)rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; each one did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the ^(B)idols of Egypt.

Then I said I would ^(C)pour out My wrath on them, to ^[a]spend My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

¹³ But the house of Israel ^(A)rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they rejected My judgments, ^(B)which, if a man does them, he will live by them; and My ^(C)sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would ^(D)pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to completely destroy them.

¹⁶ because they rejected My judgments, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they even profaned My sabbaths, for their ^(A)heart continually walked after their idols.

²¹ But the ^(A)children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to do My judgments, which, if a man does them, he will live by them; they profaned My sabbaths. So I said I would pour out My wrath on them, to spend My anger against them in the wilderness.
