Deuteronomy 28:38-42
Christian Standard Bible
38 “You will sow much seed in the field but harvest little, because locusts will devour it. 39 You will plant and cultivate vineyards but not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them. 40 You will have olive trees throughout your territory but not moisten your skin with oil, because your olives will drop off. 41 You will father sons and daughters, but they will not remain yours, because they will be taken prisoner. 42 Buzzing insects will take possession of all your trees and your land’s produce.

Joel 1:4-7
Christian Standard Bible
4 What the devouring locust(A) has left,
the swarming locust has eaten;
what the swarming locust has left,
the young locust(B) has eaten;
and what the young locust has left,
the destroying locust(C) has eaten.
5 Wake up, you drunkards,(D) and weep;
wail, all you wine drinkers,
because of the sweet wine,
for it has been taken from your mouth.
6 For a nation has invaded my land,(E)
powerful and without number;
its teeth are the teeth of a lion,
and it has the fangs of a lioness.(F)
7 It has devastated my grapevine
and splintered my fig tree.
It has stripped off its bark and thrown it away;
its branches have turned white.
