GOD’S WORD Translation
6 So the Egyptians treated us cruelly, oppressed us, and made us do back-breaking work for them. 7 We cried out to the Lord God of our ancestors, and he heard us. He saw our misery, suffering, and oppression. 8 Then the Lord used his mighty hand and powerful arm to bring us out of Egypt. He used spectacular and awe-inspiring deeds, miraculous signs, and amazing things.

New International Version
6 But the Egyptians mistreated us and made us suffer,(A) subjecting us to harsh labor.(B) 7 Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice(C) and saw(D) our misery,(E) toil and oppression.(F) 8 So the Lord brought us out of Egypt(G) with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm,(H) with great terror and with signs and wonders.(I)
