18 So (A)the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him, 19 and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give it to the girl’s father, because he [a]publicly defamed a virgin of Israel. And she shall remain his wife; he cannot [b]divorce her all his days.

Deuteronomy 22:18-20
New International Version
18 and the elders(A) shall take the man and punish him. 19 They shall fine him a hundred shekels[a] of silver and give them to the young woman’s father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives.
20 If, however, the charge is true(B) and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found,
