35 But we kept the cattle and ·valuable things [L plunder] from the cities for ourselves. 36 We defeated Aroer on the edge of the Arnon ·Ravine [Wadi], and we defeated the town in the ·ravine [wadi], and even as far as Gilead. No ·town was too strong [or citadel was too high] for us; the Lord our God gave us all of them. 37 But you did not go near the land of the ·Ammonites [L sons/descendants of Ammon], on the shores of the Jabbok ·River [Wadi], or the towns in the mountains, as the Lord our God had commanded.

35 But the livestock(A) and the plunder(B) from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves. 36 From Aroer(C) on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the gorge, even as far as Gilead,(D) not one town was too strong for us. The Lord our God gave(E) us all of them. 37 But in accordance with the command of the Lord our God,(F) you did not encroach on any of the land of the Ammonites,(G) neither the land along the course of the Jabbok(H) nor that around the towns in the hills.
