19 When you approach the border of[a] the Ammonites,[b] you shall not harass them, and you shall not get involved in battle with them, for I have not given the land of the Ammonites[c] to you as a possession; because I have given it to the descendants[d] of Lot as a possession. 20 (It is also considered the land of Rephaim; Rephaim lived in it previously,[e] and the Ammonites called them Zamzummim, 21 a people great and numerous and as tall as the Anakites; Yahweh destroyed them from before them,[f] and they dispossessed them and settled in place of them,

New International Version
19 When you come to the Ammonites,(A) do not harass them or provoke them to war,(B) for I will not give you possession of any land belonging to the Ammonites. I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.(C)”
20 (That too was considered a land of the Rephaites,(D) who used to live there; but the Ammonites called them Zamzummites. 21 They were a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites.(E) The Lord destroyed them from before the Ammonites, who drove them out and settled in their place.
