Deuteronomy 18:19-21

19 I will personally hold responsible[a] anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet[b] speaks in my name.
20 “But if any prophet presumes to speak anything in my name that I have not authorized[c] him to speak, or speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. 21 Now if you say to yourselves,[d] ‘How can we tell that a message is not from the Lord?’[e]—

Deuteronomy 18:19-21
New International Version
19 I myself will call to account(A) anyone who does not listen(B) to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.(C) 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods,(D) is to be put to death.”(E)
21 You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?”
