12 Remember you were slaves in Egypt, and obey these regulations carefully.

13 Later in the year, at the end of the harvest after you’ve finished threshing all your grain and making all your wine, celebrate the Feast of Shelters for seven days.

The Israelites are to make temporary shelters and live in them for a week to remember how they lived in temporary shelters when they left Egypt.

14 Celebrate with your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows who live in your city.

The Festival of Tabernacles(B)

13 Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor(C) and your winepress.(D) 14 Be joyful(E) at your festival—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns.
