28 a curse if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord, your God, but turn aside from the way I command you today, to go after other gods, whom you do not know.(A) 29 When the Lord, your God, brings you into the land which you are to enter and possess, then on Mount Gerizim you shall pronounce the blessing,(B) on Mount Ebal, the curse.[a] 30 (These are beyond the Jordan, on the other side of the western road in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal beside the oak of Moreh.)(C)

28 the curse if you disobey(A) the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods,(B) which you have not known. 29 When the Lord your God has brought you into the land you are entering to possess, you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim(C) the blessings, and on Mount Ebal(D) the curses.(E) 30 As you know, these mountains are across the Jordan, westward, toward the setting sun, near the great trees of Moreh,(F) in the territory of those Canaanites living in the Arabah in the vicinity of Gilgal.(G)
