^22 (A)For if you are careful to observe this entire commandment I am giving you, loving the Lord, your God, following his ways exactly, and holding fast to him, ²³ the Lord will dispossess all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves. ^24 (B)Every place where you set foot shall be yours: from the wilderness and the Lebanon, from the Euphrates River to the Western Sea,^[a] shall be your territory. ²⁵ None shall stand up against you; the Lord, your God, will spread the fear and dread of you through any land where you set foot, as he promised you.^(C)

^20 (A)After the Lord, your God, has enlarged your territory, as he promised you,^(B) and you think, “I will eat meat,” as it is your desire to eat meat, you may eat it freely;

^18 [a]On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Great River, the Euphrates,^{(A) 19 (B)}the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, ²⁰ the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, ²¹ the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

¹⁴ Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and through them you will spread to the west and the east, to the north and the south. In you and your descendants all the families of the earth will find blessing.^(A)

^31 (A)I will set your boundaries from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines,^[a] and from the wilderness to the Euphrates; all who dwell in this land I will hand over to you and you shall drive them out before you.
