17 Or (A)the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and He will (B)shut up the heavens (C)so that there will be no rain and the ground will not yield its fruit; and (D)you will perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.
18 “(E)You shall therefore [a]impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as [b]frontals [c]on your forehead. 19 (F)You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.

17 Then the Lord’s anger(A) will burn against you, and he will shut up(B) the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce,(C) and you will soon perish(D) from the good land the Lord is giving you. 18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.(E) 19 Teach them to your children,(F) talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.(G)
